Our classes and camps challenge students to apply computational thinking and high level processing skills as they create amazing final projects. Much of CodeREV STEAM Curriculum aligns to leading standards, is a perfect fit for enrichment learning environments, and is supported by education technology experts out of the Stanford and Harvard Graduate School of Education and the MIT Media Lab.
CodeREV Kids courses are taught in after-school, school day, Seasonal and Summer Camp programs.
CODING CLASSES
ADVENTURES IN CODING
Ages 5-11; 11-14 | Grades 6-8
Hardware: Chromebook/PC/Mac/Tablets
Students adventure through code as they explore coding fundamentals by making games and animations using block based coding in softwares such as Pencilcode, Scratch and more. No prior typing experience or coding experience required. Courses are scaffolded by grade ranges, and include lessons, challenges, quizzes, and more.
Modding in Minecraft®
Ages 8-10 | Grades 3-5
Hardware: PC/Mac
Students or campers will create powerful teleporting swords, humorous blocks, amazing mobs, bow and arrows that summon ender dragons, entire worlds, and other insane items - all through the power of programming! Perfect for both the beginner coder and the advanced ‘modding’ aficionado. This is a student favorite, having taken the virtual learning world by storm!
REV ROBOTS
Ages 8-11 | Grades 3-5
Hardware: Chromebook/PC/Mac
Build, code and race custom robotics car kits! Students or campers enter the world of engineering and robotics with Arduino. Students also focus on coding as they program their Creator Bot to conquer fun challenges and to integrate motors, lights, sounds, sensors, claws and more! Creator Bots have taken a life of their own and are now in over 3000 schools worldwide!
